Mexico endured a a lawsuit against Google After changing the label of the Mexican Gulf of Mexico to America Bay on his MAPS platform to reconcile US President Donald Trump’s executive order to change the name of the body of water, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced on Friday.
Sheinbaum said at the briefing that the lawsuit had been filed against a technological giant, without giving additional details.

“We’ll wait. We already see, watching what this would mean from the perspective of legal advice, but we hope they will make an audit,” Sheinbaum said at the time.
The Mexican Foreign Ministry of External Relations also previously sent letters to Google, persuading him not to relax the ocean pool as a US bay.

The bay appears in Google Maps as a Gulf of America in the United States, as a Mexican Bay in Mexico and the Gulf of Mexico (US Bay) everywhere else. He was called the Gulf of Mexican for over 400 years.
