Army SGT. Brian Lieberman, 22, said he “just did his job” when he saved the life of a 14-year-old girl in the middle of a shooting into his housing complex. But the United States Army He believes Lieberman is an American hero, deserving a military medal.
Lieberman, a military doctor, was awarded to the Combat team of the 1st Brigade, 82 Air Force Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

June 5, 2023. The attacker attacked the Carrington Place residential complex in North Carolinacracking of teenage girls in the back. The instincts of the army began, and Lieberman rushed to the fire line.
“I looked out the window with my roommate and we heard people screaming and saw people running around my complex pool, at that moment I grabbed weapons and ran out of the front door, while my roommate called 911,” Lieberman said in Fox News Digital.

After discovering the wound, Lieberman began using his combat medical expertise for the treatment of victims, including the use of food bags as a makeshift seal. At that moment the attacker returned.

“I wouldn’t get this award if it wasn’t for my roommate in that scenario … But if there was no one that day, I wouldn’t be in a situation where I am now,” Lieberman said. “I feel like he hasn’t received a lot of acknowledgments he deserves and I feel like he should sit here next to me in this interview and in every single interview.”
“Because he brought me his medical bag, he brought me all the rags I used to clean her blood … so maybe he didn’t pull the trigger that day, but he was 110% the reason I was so successful that day in helping that girl.”
