President Donald Trump made immigration reform to the central part of his campaign, and during the first 100 days of Trump administration, immigration, customs and implementation (ICE) arrested at least 32,809 illegal immigrants and 1,155 individuals thought to be part of the criminal gang. Of the more than 32,000 arrested illegal immigrants, 14,111 were convicted of criminals, and 9,980 were waiting for criminal charges.
Trump on Thursday praised Pope Leo’s choice, saying he was looking forward to meeting him and expressed pride that he was the first American pontiff.
“Such is the honor of realizing that he is the first American pope. What an excitement and what a great honor for our country. I look forward to meeting Pope Leo XIV. It will be a very meaningful moment!” Trump wrote about the truth of Social.

Vance, a Catholic convert that met Pope Francis just before he died, Congratulated the new pope at his choice on Thursday.
“Congratulations to Leu XIV, the first American pope, at his choice!” Vance said on X. “I am sure that millions of American Catholics and other Christians will pray for his successful work that runs the Church. May God bless him!”
