London Metropolitan Police said on Sunday morning that British anti -terrorist officials arrested eight people, including seven Iranian citizens, related to two separate charges.
One of the plots complaining was a planned attack at an unprecedented place, police said.
Home Secretary Yavet Cooper said the arrests were “serious events that show the ongoing requirement to adapt our response with national security threats”.
He added: “The government is working with police and intelligence agencies to support all the steps and security evaluation necessary to protect the country.”
Metropolitan police said five people were arrested across England on Saturday for allegedly preparing a terrorist law against a “specific basis” on Saturday.
Four of these people were Iranian citizens and the fifth nationality was still being established, Met said.
Three more Iranian citizens were arrested in London in another anti -terrorist operation on the same day, Mate said in a separate statement.

The Spy Chief said at the time that MI 5 was seen on Iran “plot after plot … on an unprecedented scale”.
MET said that the first operation was involved in the Counter Terrorism Policing, Greater Manchester Police and Wiltshire Police Officers in Swindon, West London, Stockport, Rochol and Manchester.
“As part of the investigation, officials are investigating a number of addresses in the Greater Manchester, London and Swindon regions related to the investigation,” said it.
MET reported that police officers contacted the “affected site” to provide relevant advice and assistance.
Dominic Murphy, chief commander of the Met Counter Terrorism Command, requested the people to “be vigilant” and urged them to pass any relevant information they had seen or heard.
“This is a fast dynamic investigation and we are working closely to keep them updated with them on the damaged site,” he said.
“The investigation is still in its early stages and we are searching for the people associated with this matter as well as searching for different lines of the investigation to establish any possible inspiration.”
In the second operation, MET reported that searching was underway at three addresses. MET said the investigation was not related to five people arrested.
Police did not disclose the suspect plot quoting for operational reasons.
