German domestic An intelligence agency, the Federal Office for the Protection of Constitution or BFV, has classified a popular alternative to Germany (AFD) as “extremist” on Friday.
“The central for our estimate is an ethnically and over -defined concept of people who shape AFD, who devaliates the entire segments of the population in Germany and violates their human dignity,” BFV said, explaining his decision. “This concept is reflected in the total attitude of the party against a migrant and an antimuscan attitude.”
AFD scored a decision, calling it a “blow against democracy”, claiming that “he is obviously politically motivated”, which BFV denied.
The US also criticized the appointment, with the secretary Marco Rubio State claiming that it is “a tyranny in disguise.”

“Germany has given new powers to the opposition examination to her spy agency,” Rubio posted on x. “It’s not a democracy – it’s a disguised tyranny. What is really extremist is not popular AFD – which took second place in the recent election – but rather deadly immigration policy open borders that AFD opposes. Germany should reverse the path.”
Wrote Elon Musk on the x: “The ban on the Centristic AFD, Germany, the most popular party, would be an extreme attack on democracy.”
AFD leaders Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla said: “AFD will continue to take legal proceedings against these slandular attacks that threaten democracy.”
Vice -President JD Vance met with Weidel before the election and said that free speech was attacked in Europe.

BFV also classifies the neo-Nazi national democratic party (NDP), the Islamic State and other Islamist groups and the ultimate left Marxist-Leninist Party of Germany as “extremist”.
The classification allows the intelligence agency to carefully examine the AFD, which was second in the German elections in February, winning a record number of places in parliament.
The German intelligence agency is legally limited from other European countries in its ability to monitor political parties, which requires an “extremist” mark, because of its history under the Nazi and communist rule.
The tag also allows the intelligence service to intercept the communication party.
The “extremist” mark followed after a report of an intelligence agency on 1,100 pages and a loss of court case for AFD in the dispute of the previous classification of the BFV political party as one suspected of extremism.
