Some Americans won’t get the REAL ID before the May 7 domestic flight deadline, here’s why

Washington – Since many Americans are rushing around the country to get their real personal permit, some decide to exclude themselves – or using their valid passport as their preferred ID for travel or waiting until their current driver’s license expires and then renovate it.

Real ID request comes into force on May 7th, when Americans must have a new form of identification in order to fly in the country.

The cost of obtaining identification varies from state to state. Costs also differ depending on whether passengers get the first actual ID or want to renovate an existing license.

Considering that the deadline that has appeared, Fox News Digital spoke with passengers this week and asked those who do not have or not plan to get the right id of why they made that decision.
