The command was issued a week after federal charges against Adams were rejected. He is accused of using his position as a mayor for receiving luxury trips and illegal contributions to the campaign from Turkish foreign nationals.
Adams insisted that the case was politically motivated and was carried out in retaliation for criticizing the immigration policy of President Joe Biden.
