This did not sit well with Brandt. He said Sanders slid in the fifth round as “a football story in a drunken media story.”
“It has become one of these seismic media where you can sit there and watch people that follow the years say things you know they don’t believe or at best spoke from an emotional place where they were so unfettered and out of reservation … I mean, I hear things like a conspiracy, what are you talking about?” Brandt asked.
“Don’t you think that if one team thought that Sherdeur Sanders would help them win another game from the other guy, if he wouldn’t draw him right away? They would. I promise you. These coaches, these GMs are obsessed, desperate, nomadic people who just want to win the games and not move their families to another city after being fired.”
Brandt described the media conversation as “so extraordinary” that it makes NFL fans of “root against” Sanders because of the way Pundica convey their opinions outside the railway about the matter.

Super Bowl Champ gives the reason why Sherder Sanders fell to the 5th round of NFL draft
“It’s sad and it’s stupid,” he continued. “And when something like that went, as this story was on the planet Mars, so far into the ether, this so reckless in the comment, you have to look for some simple truths. … No teams loved Sedeur in the draft. No one loved him as a player. If anyone loved him, he would have drawn him, but maybe someone loved him, but maybe no one loved him.
Brandt theorized that if the teams did not want to play Sanders immediately, they did not want a celebrity and attention that comes with him, especially as a spare striker.
“I don’t know if this is crazy enough madness to be up to date with all the leaders who are currently talking about Schedeur, but this is my only practical reaction to what happened.”
