Another arrest was done in connection with the theft of Kristi Noem’s purse, while on Easter with her family.
Authorities have announced that they have arrested a companion who is believed to be tied to a series of thefts in DC on Sunday.
“It is believed that an individual is a co -confident in these incidents with the primary defendant who has been accused of committing a robbery against the secretary for Homeland Security Kristi Noem,” a spokesman for the secret service divided in a statement.
“Public security is the strongest when built on trust and cooperation,” said Special Agent Rafael Barros. “We are grateful to the Miami Beach Police Directorate for their fast and extraordinary assistance in today’s fear. After receiving information from Washington, police officers Miami Beach quickly implemented the targeted patrol and found the defendant, who was detained without an incident.”

The identity of the alleged copies was not released, but officials said the suspects are currently being held at an immigration detention because the accusations are over.
This is coming a few hours after the authorities published the first arrest illegal immigrant with an extensive criminal history that was believed to be related to theft.
“Thank you to the secret service and ice and our partners for the implementation of the law for finding and arrested the criminals who stole my bag on Easter Sunday as I shared a meal with my family at Washington DC restaurant,” a spokesman for Noem shared with Fox News Digital.
Noem said, “This individual is a career criminal who has been illegal in our country for years.”
The suspect was identified as 49-year-old Mario Bustamante Leiva, who the authorities say is illegally present by a Chilean citizen, who was associated with a series of thefts in April, according to the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Directorate.
Officials said that in every hustle and bustle, the Leiva approached the victims as they ate at the restaurant, stole purses from the back of the seat, and then fled from the scene.
Detectives located Video evidence of thefts which led them to identify the alleged suspect as Levi. He was arrested on Saturday and was charged with two points of robbery and is facing additional accusations of offense investigating the secret service of the United States, the officials said.

“Unfortunately, so many families in this country have become victims of crime, which is why President Trump works every day to make America safe and get these criminal strangers out of our streets,” Noem said.
Retired Inspector NYPD -AI associate Fox News Paul Mauro told Fox News Digital, believes that theft was not targeted especially in Noem, but was motivated by the luxury bag itself.
“This was not targeted. This is a pretty bottom of the criminal chain of food products. They, I know he had a copy, just wanted to make money and escape with him, “Mauro explained.” Why call the type of supervision that the DHS head would call? We’re not talking about KGB here. ”

Noem was with her family On Easter Sunday in the Burger capital in Washington, DC, when the suspect entered his luxury bag containing money as well as her driver’s license, a passport, a medicine, a makeup bag, an empty checks, a DHS badge, a housing keys and a Louis Vuitton Clemence wallet.
The bag was on the floor at her desk when she was stolen, according to an appeal filed with a local police.
The safety shots recorded a white man in the N95 surgical mask, dark pants and a baseball cap grabbing the bag Before leaving the restaurant.

“It was actually shocking, because she was sitting right next to my legs. I actually felt a purse, hooked it with his foot and drugged a few steps and threw his coat over it and took it,” Noem told Podcaster Vince Coglianese in the “Vince Show”.
“I felt it, but I thought my grandmothers hit my feet. But it was very professional, and that says that it happens to people all the time and that they live in communities where it is danger and confirms why I am here,” she added.
