The previous selection of the first round of Giants, a wide receiver Malik Nabers, was blessed from the Ray Flaherty family last season to carry his retired number one. So the request is not unusual for franchise.
But Taylor wants Carter to blame his own path to NFL, and Giants fans remember him in their own numbers.
Of course, Carter would absolutely like to have a long distance career near Taylor.
