Pennsylvania Gov. Shapiro says Trump called him about arson attack at governor’s mansion

Pennsylvania Government Josh Shapiro, Democrat, said on Tuesday that he was president Donald Trump He called him over the weekend to talk about a fire attack on the governor of governor a week before.

Shapiro said Trump called him on Saturday morning and that he was “very gracious” president.

“I appreciated that the president called me,” Shapiro told reporters on annual hunting for Easter eggs at the Governor’s residence in Harrisburg. “I didn’t really take his call because it came from his cellphone and I didn’t have that number in the phone, so I didn’t know who it was. As soon as I heard his message, I called him immediately.”

Shapiro said that he talked to Trump about 15 minutes about various topics, including the fire attack and that his wife and children worked after a fire incident.

“He was very gracious,” Shapiro said. “He asked how Lori and the kids were doing. [We] We talked a few minutes about what happened in the residence, and then we talked maybe the next 15 minutes or something about a whole series of other topics. “

“Obviously, I will not go into our private conversation, but he is aligned with the questions that are important to me,” the governor continued. “Of course, I know the questions that are important to him and we agreed to stay in the forward.”

Shapiro told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos in an interview recorded late last week and broadcast on Sunday that Trump did not call him after the attack on April 13 at his residence. The governor said at the time that he had heard from the State Attorney Pam Bondi and the director of the FBI KASHA Patel.

Trump said last week, when asked if he knew about the attacker’s motive that he had not heard of one. He also said the suspect was “not a trump fan”.

“It’s probably just a job. And surely such a thing can’t be allowed to happen,” Trump said at the time.

Cody Balmer, 38, is charged with attempted murder, exacerbated fire, burglary, terrorism and related acts for allegedly ignited in Shapir’s residence last week.

Balmer allegedly admitted in several cases that he was motivated by Israel-Hamas’ war in Gaza and what Shapiro, who is a Jew, “wants to make the Palestinian people.”

“Governor Josh Shapiro has to know that Cody Balmer will not participate in his plans for what he wants to do to the Palestinian people,” Ballmer allegedly told the dispatcher in call 911 after the attack. “He had to leave my family alone. He must take his eyes off my daughters. And he should stop killing my friends.”

“You all know where to find me. I don’t hide and I will admit everything I did,” he added.

The order describes Balmer’s interview in detail with state soldiers in which he allegedly admitted that he “swallowed hatred of” Shapirus. Balmer also allegedly admitted to the soldier that he was responsible for an attack of the fire and said he was planning to attack Shapira with a hammer if he found a governor in the castle.

The video surveillance described in the order reportedly shows that Balmer broke the window in Governor’s residence before throwing a “flammable device” inside. According to the order, Balmer then broke another window, entered the residence and arranged another flammable device before “approached going out to the dining room.”

The order also says that a woman-at least identified as Balmer’s “former Paramour” -rekla confessed to the attack And she asked her to call the police to turn him.
