The US presidents mourned the death of Pope Francis, who was the leader of the Catholic Church for 12 years, on Monday after the announcement of the Pope passage.
“Rest in peace, Pope Francis!” President Donald Trump he said in the Truth Social post on Monday. “May God bless him and all who loved him!”
College of Cardinal was chosen by Pope Francis, 88, to be Pope after Pope Benedict XVI, Pope Francis, born with Jorge Mario Bergoglio, originally welcomed from Argentina.
Pope Francis, who was hospitalized in February because of the complications that came from bronchitis and pneumonia, died on Monday at the Santa Marta Cas Vatican.
Vice -President JD Vance, who turned into Catholicism in 2019, met with Pope Francis on Sunday at one of the reception rooms of the Vatican Hotel, just hours before the Pope’s death. Vance acknowledged his visit to the post on Monday, as he expressed his condolences to Christians who loved the Pope, and shared a connection with the transcript of one of the Pope’s 2020s.

“My heart goes out to millions of Christians around the world who loved him. I was happy to see him yesterday, although he was obviously very ill,” Vance said in the X post on Monday. “But I will always remember him for the lower homily he gave in very early days of man. It was really pretty nice. May God rest his soul.”
Trump also signed an executive order on Monday, ordering all US flags flying half of the staff on all public buildings and terrains, on all military posts and navy stations, and on all maritime vessels to remember Francisco. The command also applies to all US embassies, legal, consular offices and other facilities abroad, including military facilities and navy vessels and cells.

Barack Obama
Pope Francis met with former president Barack Obama in the Vatican in March 2014. The two met again in September next year during the visit of Pope Francis to the White House, where the Pope made a statement seeking a climate change action. After visiting the White House, Francis also visited New York City and Philadelphia.
Obama issued a statement on Monday morning, praising the Pope for his leadership.

“In his humility and his gestures, at once simple and deep – accepting the sick, serving the homeless legs of young prisoners – he ran us out of our memory and reminded us that we were all related to moral obligations to God and each other,” Obama said in a post Monday on Monday.
“Today, Michelle and I are mourning with everyone around the world-Catholic and non-Catholic-which they have pulled strength and inspiration out of the pope’s example,” Obama said. “Let us continue to be careful about his invitation to” never go to this march of living hopes. “
Donald Trump
Trump met with Pope Francis in 2017 during a trip to the Vatican, and later told reporters that they had a “fantastic meeting”. However, the two clashed with each other because of Trump’s border policy in the last decade.
“A person who is considering the construction of the walls, no matter where they are, not the construction of bridges, is not Christian,” Pope Francis said in February 2016 in the middle of Trump’s pressure on the trace of the campaign for the construction of the border wall and the breaking of illegal immigration.

In response, Trump said, “For a religious leader, it is shameful to question the person’s faith.”
Pope Francis Rutinically issued similar statements, and in February he wrote a letter to the US Catholic bishops and expressed concern about the plans of the mass deportation of Trump’s administration.
“In many cases, the act of deportation of people who have left their own country for extreme poverty, insecurity, exploitation, persecution or serious exacerbation of the environment, the damage to the dignity of many men and women, and whole families, and accommodates them in a state of special vulnerability and undoubtedness,” said Pope Francis France.
Joe Biden
Former President Joe Biden, the second Catholic US president, visited the Vatican in October 2021, where he and Pope Francis met to discuss topics, including climate change and advocacy of the poor, according to the meeting.
Biden previously met Pope Francis on several other occasions, including during the Pope’s visit of the USA in 2015.
Biden also met with Pope Francis in June at the head of the G7 leader in Apulia, Italy, where the two talked about the current war of Israel-Hamas, a humanitarian crisis in Gaza and a conflict between Ukraine and Russia, according to reading the meeting.

Biden, who awarded Pope Francis, a presidential medal of freedom in January, described him as a “consequent” leader on Monday, who was “Pope for all”.
“He was unlike anyone who came before him,” Biden said in a post on Monday morning. “Pope Francis will be remembered as one of the most disgusting leaders of our time and I am better in knowing him. For decades he has served the most vulnerable throughout Argentina and his mission of service to the poor has never stopped. How Pope, he was a love pastor and a challenging teacher who came to various faiths.”
