Pope Francis died on Monday morning at the age of 88, according to Cardinal Kevin Ferrell, Vatican Camerlengou.
“At 7:35, the bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to his father’s house this morning. All his life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and his church,” Farrell reported.
“He taught us to live the values of the gospel with loyalty, courage and universal love, especially in favor of the poorest and smallest marginalized,” the announcement continued.

Farrell added: “With immense gratitude for his example as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus, we praise the soul of Pope Francis with the infinite merciful love of one and three -time God.”
