Pastor is recovering after being injured during a “crippled accident” in which he killed a passenger on his way home Bible study in Ohi.
“With great sadness and sadness of our hearts, we have to convey this information and update,” the Baptist Church of Northwest wrote in the Toledo Church in the post on their Facebook page.
The church said Pastor Andrew Edwards drove another man Biblical Study Home On Thursday, when the tragedy hit while they were stopped after the tree fell on their car.

The passenger, Richard Miller, 35, was killed in an accident and proclaimed a deceased at the scene, according to the church, while Edwards was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, but is now stable and sensitive.

“He assumed fractures on his piano, sternum and spine in his back. The biggest concern of a small bleeding in the brain, which they look after on dogs,” the post continued.
Officials said WTVG that two other cars were driving near when the tree fell and both had suffered damage, but people were not injured within these vehicles.

On Easter Sunday, the church shared an update that Edwards “was transferred to the trauma unit after confirmation of the neurologist that the brain injury was not immediate concern.”
“Pastor Edwards suddenly woke up and expressed his desire to return to his pastoral duties, stating that there was a lot of work to do,” the church wrote. “He was convinced that all responsibilities were managed in his absence. We thank the Lord for his continuous healing and loyalty.”

The church wrote that Edwards’s family said they were “honestly grateful for Continue of prayer and support During this time. ”
“Your kindness and care means so much to our family,” the family said.
