First on the fox: Senator of the United States Tim Sheehy, R-Montana, called Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum in a terrible letter that deals with a large amount of raw sewer and the waste that the neighboring country threw out into the Tijuana River.
The letter shows Sheehy’s concerns not only for the health and safety of locals, but also points out that toxic leaks could potentially endanger American national security.
“This continuing discharge annually plagues thousands of Americans, including US naval seal and seafood special forces that train in affected waters,” the letter to President Mexico reports. “In February 2025, the Office for Defense of the Ministry of Defense concluded that it absentyly, the Navy Command of the Wars of War will be advised to cancel or relocate up to 75 percent of the Water Training Exercises in the Coronada Navy Basic Basic Bacterial Contamination.”

Last week, the International Commission for the Borders and Water stated that Mexico was throwing 5 million liters of sewage daily in Tijuan. Toxic waste is then poured into the United States and can even be pierced into the Pacific Ocean.
“For decades, Mexico has been throwing toxic waste into the water in which our most eligible soldiers of the presenter, causing serious health problems and harms our readiness,” Sheehy for Fox News Digital. “The problem is only worse, and their failure to do nothing to do with our troops and our national security. Mexico must immediately stop this toxic tide.”
While Sheehy sounds an alarm from Congress, local leaders also confirmed that the Mexican government landfill had left a deliberate waste to residents of dangerous and harmful environmental conditions.

“This sewer is not just a disgusting-ispant. It contains E. coli, bacteria resistant to antibiotics, arsenic and other toxic chemicals,” explained San Diego Jim Desmond Ua Diego Supervisor Recent Fox News OP-ed. “Our water is contaminated. Our air is contaminated with aerosolized waste. Residents report everything, from skin infections to viral pharyngitis – and even family pets fell ill after exposure.”

“We have heard too many horror stories about sailors – some of the bravest and brightest members of the military service in the military – who got sick of training in the waters contaminated with Mexican sewer that flew into our nation,” Zeldin said on Friday. “This was a crisis of human health that has stayed for decades.”
