Shortly before Putin’s ceasefire announcement, Russia and Ukraine have performed one of the largest exchanges of war prisoners since the commencement of Moscow’s total attack in February 2022. Gelnsky said that 2 277 Ukrainian troops returned after an agreement in the UAE broker.
He also added that since the launch of the attack, 1,212 Ukrainian soldiers were released from Russian captivity.
