Special Prosecutor appointed to run another murder Trial Karen Readwho was accused of killing his boyfriend of Boston police officer John O’Keefe, asked the court of Last minutes to submit to her defense on Friday to transfer the guilt to his fellow police or one of their dogs while opening statements next week.
In a double proposal just a few days before the re -launch began with an introductory statement, a specially appointed Assistant District Prosecutor Hank Brennan claimed that the defense plans to use the injuries of the right hand of O’KEEEEFE could violate the previous command to defend someone else for Readin’s death before establishing evidence on trial.
“Commonwealth moves to the order that the defender refrains from the claim in his introductory statement that any of the victims’ injuries caused any person or animal who was in a 34 Fairview Road house,” he wrote. “Based on the defense request to show the scratches on the arm of the victim in an introductory statement, Commonwealth notes that the court ruled that the defense had prevented from mentioning any reference to the third -party guilt demanding requirements before establishing the basic basis supported by acceptable evidence and any mention of third -party claims.”

According to prosecutorsO’Keefe died in front of the Canton in Massachusetts, in which some of his law colleagues were attending the law and their spouses attended after a night out in the city on January 28.

O’Keefe’s cause of death was established as a severe trauma of head and hypothermia, but also had injuries from the hands and right hand.
The request comes the day after Judge Beverly Cannone rejected a prosecution’s proposal to exclude a dog defense expert and partially approved a defense request to limit the testimony of the prosecutor’s office on the same topic.
