Some of those who are critical of Ballard’s actions wondered what would have happened had a woman’s side -line journalist did what Ballard did.

Harlan Dekker spoke from experience.

“People get angry about Braves’s reporter looking for a girl’s phone number!” That doesn’t diminish the game or season. Illuminate.

“I was a team reporter, and the season is long. The producers are always looking for something different/unforgettable, ways to turn on fans or show some human interest in the game. Most of these interviews are Duds, so it’s good for him that he has a sense of humor and toss with him.

“If one can show an example that a woman releases something similar, then you have a quarrel,” she explained. “Until then … you can’t just say” a woman would be discharged for this.

“In the middle of a baseball match in the early season in the regional/team, his producer told him that he was getting something colorful in the crowd, and his booth clung to him, the girl was playing in her and she was not creepy. It is a sports TV, a party! This was not a room in the board or or or.”

During his live segment, Ballard said that a broadcast cabin wanted to get two female telephone numbers.

“I’m serious, right now they tell me in my ear,” Ballard said in the air as he talked to IS shows and women about their phone numbers. “He doesn’t believe me because he thinks you make it up. I’ll use it in the future. It’s actually a pretty good move. I should have thought this year.”

The segment was quickly left on social networks, although a turbulent discussion began with people who think the same way as Harlan Dekker.

One X account said the segment showed “the crazy double standards in sports”, while the other on the counter -arrangement is deep in depth.

“This is the dumbest thing and the dumbest anger. Outraging for another person when you don’t know full interaction or how they felt about it at all. You don’t know what was said and done before and after the segment,” ” The post said.

Arizona Cardinals Team journalist Dani Sureck also gave his thoughts.

“Also, will we still ask women in sports if they only do their jobs to this day athletes ?? We can agree on how inappropriate and nasty it is without mentioning a double standard, right?”
