Texas GOP could stall Trump’s bold AI vision with red tape

But a new proposal for the Texas Law, Senate Bill 6, could delay or overthrow that momentum.

The legislation adds a six -month regulatory inspection at the top of the existing time lane of 6 to 18 months, while at the same time requires new fees and mandatory safety generators, doubling the approval time and the amount of costs.

And while the legislation is set as protection against another winter storm in the Uri style, Trump’s allies warn that he could throw out a generational opportunity.

“This proposal of the law would be a serious blockade of the way to the president’s vision,” said Vance Ginn, President Ginn Economic Consulting and former main economist at the White House Management and Budget Office during Trump’s first term, in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital.

“It is a wrong effort that is rooted in fear: fear of energy scarcity, fear of AI, fear of the future.”

According to GINN, high law demands, including a 100,000 USD related compensation and a so-called “killing switch” that would allow Texas Electric Reliability Council to reduce the power supply into data centers, could complete these texas billions from Texas.

“These companies don’t just use energy,” Ginn said. “Many of them actually bring up excess electricity on the net. So instead of hurting Texas, they help stabilize.”

Stargate has already broken the terrain in Abilene, but the next 10 data centers are still in the air. If Texas becomes too expensive or complicated, experts warn that half of the project may never happen – even when rival states like Wyoming and Tennessee Court without Texas infrastructure.

“The Texas legislative government should work in Lockstep with President Trump to build AI infrastructure, not throwing obstacles,” Ginn added. “Ai revolution is here. If Texas is lost, it will lag.”

The sponsor of the law, Governor of Lieutenant in Texas Dan Patrick, insists that the legislation will not hurt Trump’s daily row. “Senate Bill 6 actually ensures that President Trump star plan is successful,” Patrick said in a statement. “We are in Lockstep with the president at his goal to make America number one and dominate China on AI, data centers and cryptocurrencies.”

Even with Trump’s approval for Patrick’s re-election, Trump-Economists say the state plays a dangerous game.

“We already see the signs of this,” Ginn warned. “Microsoft retired to projects. Investors are nervous. And in the meantime, China has progressed.”

The Chinese startup called Deepsek made titles to introduce top -notch models in record time, which caused fresh anxiety because of the American standing in the global AS Arms race.

“It’s not just an innovation,” Ginn said. “It’s national security. If it is six months behind China, we may never make up for it.”

Trump supported his AI pressure with a hard policy, including a 10% of a 10% of blankets on all imports and a steep tariff of 125% on Chinese goods, he announced only last week. But these tariffs could also raise the price of key data components, from steel to electric transformers.

Despite the compromises, Trump’s administration of Stargate sees the foundation of the foundation of the American leadership of the 21st century in everything, from education to health care.
