Russian rocket strike on Ukrainian city More than 20 people were killed while civilians gathered to celebrate Palm Sunday, the officials said.
Two Russian ballistic rockets Ukrainian officials hit the City of Sumy at 10:15 am. The pictures from the city show a building that is broken on the ruins, vehicles in the fire on the street and several bodies on Earth.
“On this bright palm tree on Sunday, our community has suffered a terrible tragedy,” said Mayor Artem Kobzar, acting in a statement of social media. “Unfortunately, we already know more than 20 deaths.”
The initial investigation was determined by at least 21 people killed in the attack, the Office of the General Prosecutor said. At least 83 others were injured, including seven children, and Ihor Klymenko’s interior minister wrote on social networks.

Ukrainian president Vodimir Zelenskyy On social networks, he confirmed that the efforts in rescue were ongoing after Russian rockets were hit by city residential buildings, schools and cars on the street.

“According to preliminary information, dozens of civilians were killed and wounded. The only dirty scam can act like this – taking the lives of ordinary people,” he said.

Zelenskyy also called on the United States, Europe and all other countries around the world “who want this war and murders to be” firmly responding “to the attack.

“The conversations have never stopped Balistic missiles and air bombs. What is needed is the attitude towards Russia which terrorist deserves,” he said.
The strike comes less than a day after Russia and Ukraine the best diplomats accused each other of violating a Observation Agreement with the US Broke Stop strikes on energy infrastructure.
