Masters 2025: Man indicted after alleged threats on Augusta employee

A man from northern Dakota is facing five years in prison after allegedly threatened Augusta National employee.

Joseph Armand Zimmer, 48, allegedly told an employee that he would “throw [the individual] in a cell and have [her] burn “and to” blow up ” [her] Go, ”according to the Ministry of Justice.

The laundry said that Zimmer called a golf club in February and made numerous violent threats to a female employee.

“Those who threaten members of our community in violation of the Federal Law will be responsible, because we continue to cooperate with our partners to implement the law to identify and bring in justice of those who seek to intimidate and instill fear in our citizens,” we play US lawyer Tara M. Lyons said in a statement.

“The FBI treats threatening communication with the highest serious and will dedicate all the resources available to locating and process responsible for such actions,” added Paul Brown, a special agent in charge of FBI Atlanta, added in a statement. “We believe that this indictment sends a clear message to anyone who thinks of threats, whether true or fictional, electronic means.”
