College football fans watching the game on ESPN were pretty upset that Colorado was in the spotlight, and they took to social media.
BYU offensive lineman Connor Pay even told broadcasters to talk more about the team, according to broadcaster Dave Pasch.
“He came up to (the production meeting) yesterday and said to us, ‘Talk about BYU a little bit, will you?’ Well, we’re talking about Connor Pay, and now we’re talking about BYU,” Pasch said in the fourth quarter when the Cougars took a 33-7 lead, via Terrible announcement. “I’m sure the fans in Provo would love for us to talk about BYU all night.”
Pasch’s broadcast partner, Dusty Dvoracek, added that BYU “gave us a lot to talk about.”

Pay was among those who weighed in on the call.
For that matter, Colorado’s Sanders and Hunter should become the first picks in the upcoming draft. not to mention Deion Sanders is Colorado’s head coach and has rebuilt the program into one of the most exciting in the country.
Sanders said it was “difficult” to know that some of the players he had coached for the past two or three years would be leaving his side for the next leg of their journey.
BYU finished the season 11-2, posting its third 10-win season in the last five years. They haven’t had such a streak since the mid-2000s when they won at least 10 games from 2006 to 2009 and then again in 2011.
Kalani Sitake went from a measly five wins in their first season in the Big 12 Conference last year to 11 wins and a bowl appearance.
