Washington Capitals Star Alex Ovechkin broke the Wayne Gretzky record for most goals scored in the NHL career on Sunday with PowerPlay against New York Icelanders.
However, even the new record holder had some doubts.

Ovechkin asked in the performance “Fox & Friends” On Wednesday, if 2020 thought it would be possible to break down Gretzky records. Gretzky eavesdropped by an ovchkin as the one who did it if anyone had the opportunity.
“No. Even this year, at the age of 39, I would have to score 42 goals. In this league, in this hockey game it is just hard to do,” he said. “As I always said, without my teammates, without my family, without any support, we would never have reached that turning point.”

Ovechkin’s 895 career goal goal was his 42th season. He played in 42 games this season and had six game games with multiple goals, including hat of tricks against Vegas Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers.
He recalled the moment of making history that he had achieved against the islanders.
“Honestly, I never thought it could happen,” he said. “This is such a great moment for yourself, for the organization of Capitals, for hockey, for their teammates, for your family, friends and fans around the world.”
Ovechkin also joined with V Foundation to help fight pediatric cancer.
