New York Republicans Pushing a new law to protect animals after squirrels for pets and internet stars named P’Nut were taken over and killed by civilian environmental officials late last year.
The proposal of the law, called “Kikiriki Law: Human Animal Protection Act”, would require a 72-hour waiting period before the environmental conservation department (Dec) can euthanize any seized animal. He would also provide animal owners an opportunity to listen before the state takes or puts off its animals.
P’nut and another pet squirrel named Fred took over from Mark, and Daniela Longo on the Upstate Farm last October after someone filed an anonymous complaint. Both animals were killed and tested for rabies, and both tests returned negatively.
The squirrel had a huge monitoring on social media, and P’nut collected nearly a million followers to watch the contents of Critter’s Critter.

Once the news is spread On P’Nut’s Instagram page, Return because of Dec’s actions, he spread like wild fire online. At that time, everyone, from Elon Musk to President Trump, abolished the murder of dear family pets.
Musk called the murder in November as “the whole thing of the squirrel” while on the subcastation of Joe Rogan.
Jake Blumecranz Assembly (R-nassau), who sponsor the account, said it was justice. “This is a gradual procedure,” he said, adding that the animals should not be killed if they are not an immediate danger.
Longos, who manage the animal shrine, are said to have never been told why their pets were taken. They hope that the new account will prevent similar cases of repeating.
Mark Longo told the new proposal of the law: “I sit here trying not to cry, but the adoption of this law will be a movement to ensure that the animal rights no longer be neglected.”
Peanut or “P’nut” was only a child when Longos saved him. The squirrel has adapted to her adoptive human family after his real mother overtook the car when he was only five weeks.

“They were not dangerous. They were not sick. They were not wild threats that wandered the streets,” said MP Blumencranz. “They were saved – loved, groomed and safe.”
Legislative supporters say it is a common move of protection and animals and their owners.

“Here’s a cold, heavy truth. It’s too small, too late. Words do not save P’nut and Fred, and words will not save the next animal or the next family unless we change the law.”
The lawyer who represents the Longo family did not immediately respond to the Fox News Digital request for comment.
