Madonna and Elton John He seemed to “bury Hatchet” after a decade long quarrel.
On Monday, Kroner “Material Girl” explained that her recent victory with John had turned into a heartfelt gathering.
“We finally buried the ax !!!” Madonna wrote on Instagram, with her photo and singer “Rocket Man” she hugged. “I went to see @eltonjohn performing on SNL this weekend !! Wow. I remembered when I was in high school – I got out of the house one night to see Elton performing live in Detroit! It was an unforgettable performance that helped me understand the transformative power of music.”

“Seeing him performing when I was in high school he changed the course of his life,” she continued. “I always felt like an outsider grew up and watched him on stage helped me to realize that it was okay to be different – to point out – to go the way, less traveled. In fact, that was important.”
“Over the decade, it hurt me when I knew that someone I admired so much shared his aversion to me as an artist,” she added. “I didn’t understand that.”

Madonna and John began arguing in the early 2000s after the British singer told Madonna’s song for the new movie “Die another day”, was “The worst melody Bond ever”.
“That’s no tune,” he said at the time. “They were supposed to go for someone like Lulu and Shirley Bassey, or maybe I’m in that league? I don’t think it’s the best Madonna record, and I’m a big fan.”
