Ambassador Jared Golden, D-MAINE, indicated that he would vote to protect President Trump tariff plan If the legislation that kills the economic measure was brought to the floor of the house.

“My biggest concern is that they will do it and lose faith and political will and distract,” Golden said.

On April 2, Trump announced a basic duty of 10% on each import to the United States, along with additional tariff tariffs that have high tariffs on US exports.
Golden also complained that no more democrats in favor Trump’s tariff plan.
“I remember Demsa was outraged by the World Trade Organization, oil, all these trade agreements, even as a recent TPP,” Golden added. “Now all of a sudden turn of 180 degrees here, where we decisively defend the importance and relevance of the stock market for the US economy and defend the free trade contracts.”
Asked about Ambassador Greg Meeks, Dn.y., Bill who would remove Trump’s tariffs, Golden said, “I would be” no “on that.”

Golden is one of the few, if not the only one, the democrat of the house in favor of a tariff proposal. “When they search under every couch for ways to re -regret the party in the working class, going out against this so strong,” Golden said as he pushed his colleagues Democrats to stand against the proposal.

“I think the wrong consensus is a decade in Washington on the free race to the bottom,” Deluzio said. “The president’s tariff announcement, however, his trade strategy – was chaotic, it is inconsistent.”
