Sport commentator Stephen A. Smith said he was considering running for duty in the next few years if he believed he could win.
Smith rose as a bombastic commentator in the areas of sports and politics. He denied before would ever run for president, saying that the recent chatter only took off because of the despair of Democrats for the leader. However, the host of ESPN spoke at the Convention of the National Emitters’ Association (NAB) in Las Vegas on Monday, where he stated that he had changed his recent events.
He posted a relationship to the story of his comments on X and said, “It’s time to stop messing. Life is great. Especially in ESPN/Disney. I hate the thought that he is a politician. But sick of this clutter. So, I officially leave all the doors open.”

“For the last few weeks, I have not had another choice than to be more serious about it,” NAB said at the event. “I was approached by people on Capitol Hill. I was approached by people who were elected officials in power, whether they were governors or mayors or what you had. People were justified, seriously, asked me about it.”
He reiterated that although he did not want to become a politician, he would run for his duty if he thought he had a sustainable path to victory.
“I have no desire to be a politician. My life is [going] Pretty well, but I decided not to close that door anymore, “he said.” I’ll open my options. I will entertain the possibility. ”
Talking about the future, Smith suggested: “If it comes at the end of 2026, 2027, where I look at this country and I think it is an absolute mess and there is a legitimate reason for believing – whether it is through research committees or anything else – that I really have a a legitimate shot to conquer the Presidency Of the United States. I won’t turn it off and I don’t play it. ”
According to ForbesHe also allegedly mocked politicians saying, “I personally experience politicians as professional beggars. You always have a hand and people need something in return.”
But even so, he said that, as more and more people had invited him to become one “in the last few weeks, I had to get a little more serious about that.”
Smith noted that he would need “Hunker for a few months” to study different questions, but said he would look forward to the discussions.
