European rugby match gets delayed as parachutist dangles from roof

The man, who was allegedly a French soldier, descended quickly when the right side of his parachute was stuck on the roof. He hung about 50 feet above the crowd that came to watch Toulouse take over the sharks.

Firefighters needed a long ladder to reach the parachute and safely save it. The man appeared unharmed as he helped him. The crowd began to cheer when he reached security.

Firefighters also received great joy after being able to pull the parachute.

The delay lasted about 40 minutes.

“After the Incident at Le Stadium de Toulouse, we would like to thank everyone involved at the stadium, and clubs and emergency services for safe parachute returns to Earth,” said European Professional Club President Ragby Ragby Ragby Dominic McKay in a statement about social media.
