Paige Bueckers finally captures national title as UConn routs South Carolina

UCONN -OV Women’s Basketball Program is where it belongs – on the mountain.

Huskii earned their 12th national championship, all of which came since 1995, with the blowing of the ruling champion South Carolina Sunday afternoon.

In her last game before heading to WNBA, Paige Bueckers scored 17 points in Uconn’s 82-59 victory over Gamecocks.

The Husques led 10 at halftime, while South Carolina fought off the floor – in the first 20 minutes they only had 26 points.

But Azzi Fudd began to put a nail in the coffin in the third quarter, lowering 11 of her 24 points in the frame. Despite being the highest quarter in South Carolina, UConn’s, which surpassed Gamecocks, 26-16, is also easy.

Buueckers is likely to be the first overall choice on the WNBA draft next week. She even missed the season with a torn ACL, which she suffered in 2022, but she will still descend as one of the greatest Uconna, which is already an immortal society to begin with.

Bueckersov 19.9 points per game is the biggest in Uconna history, and also has had third points in the history of women’s March history during her career.

In fact, nine years have passed since the last title of UCONNA, which is their longest drought from the back of their backs 30 years ago. Before that, they had never passed for more than five years without winning everything (from 2004 to 2009).
