Pope Francis He first appeared in the weeks of Sunday, welcoming crowds from a wheelchair at St. Peter’s Square on the Vatican.
It was the first time Francis had appeared in public since he had briefly addressed the crowd when he was fired from the hospital on March 2nd. The Pope suffered a double pneumonia that left him hospitalized five weeks.
Francis made an uninhabited visit to the end of the Mass and sent a brief greeting, and received everything by oxygen over his nose.
“Happy Sunday to everyone,” Francis said. “Thank you very much.”

The Vatican also published a written message to Francis, which marked Sunday Mass, which was particularly focused on healthcare professionals.
“I ask the gentlemen that this touch of his love might reach all those who suffer and encourage those who care about them,” the text said.
Doctors oversee Francis’s care during his stay in Gemelli Hospital in Rome Say that they briefly considered the end of the Pope’s treatment because of its condition.
Medical director Dr. Sergio Alfieri recounted the scenes on February 28 when the 88-year-old suffered cough and inhaled vomiting, which made the staff clean his airways and later put a non-invasive mechanical mechanical mask to help him breathing.

“For the first time, I saw tears in the eyes of some people around me. People who, in this period of hospitalization, were honestly loved by him, like a father. We were all aware that the situation was further worse and there was a risk that they would not do it,” Alfieri told Corriere della Sera News.
“We had to choose whether to stop and let him go or try it with all the possible medicines and therapies, risk of damaging the other organs. And in the end we started this way,” he allegedly added.
