The use of an almighty enemies of 1798 is disputed to deport the Venezuela nationals, including alleged members of the violent gang of a moment de Aragua. Boasberg pressed the Deputy Assistant Attorney General drew why the government neglected emergency ban Last month stopping these deportations.
The administration regretted the basic case of the Supreme Court. But for now, Boasberg is weighing if there is a likely reason to move forward with the contempt – the question remained open after a tense exchange in court.

During the hearing, Ensign was repeatedly questioned who had information about flights in Trump’s administration and when three flights deported US soil for El Salvador. At least 261 migrants were deported that day, including more than 100 Venezuela nationals who were subject to removal “solely on the basis of” the law that the court temporarily blocked.
“You claim that the Government was fully in accordance with the order of the court on March 15, right?” Boasberg asked.
Ensign said that the judge replied, “It seems to me that the Government has acted in bad faith that day.”
“If you really believed that everything you did that day is legal and survive in a court challenge, you would not act the way you did so,” Boasberg said.

He has repeatedly examined the Ensign of his knowledge of flights and whether any related material is classified, which could initiate the protection of state secrets.
The government’s lawyers refused Share information in court About the deportation flights and whether the plane (or plane) of migrants consciously left US soil after the judge ordered them not to do so, citing the protection of national security.
But according to Ensign, this may not be a problem. Boasberg said that flight information was probably not classified, which made the judge be advocated aloud why this was not shared with him in the former setting.
“Can you figure out an instance” where is the privileged state secret privileged using unclassified information? asked Ensign, who struggled to answer.
“Pretty ticklish,” Boasberg said aloud in response.
The second focus of hearing on Thursday was the time – and when President Donald Trump signed a proclamation that approved the use of an almighty enemies law, and when federal agents began filling planes with migrants who were lined with El Salvador.
Boasberg noted that Trump’s administration started loading the aircraft in the morning of March 15, hours before the flights left the US
“So, then, it’s not crazy to conclude that there was prior knowledge and actions on the eve of the deportation on Saturday night?” Ensign asked.
The judge pressed a lawyer because of the name, locations and agencies of individuals who were referred to removal, as well as internal conversations with other administration officials who may have listened to in court proceedings.
“Who did you say about my order?” Boasberg asked. “Once the hearing is over, who did you say?”
Ensign says information has transmitted, among other things, contacts of the Ministry of Internal Security and State Department officials.

The following is Boasberg’s command that requires officials to explain why they failed to respect his directive to return flights for deportation – and whether they were consciously defying the court.
Boasberg told them both that he would see them next week for arguments on a preliminary proposal for the prohibition of the plaintiff, set on Tuesday.
