Kovalev on anger against Joshua: “Joshua has a fragile head”

‘The Krusher’ Sergey Kovalev is tipping Tyson Fury to defeat Anthony Joshua in ‘Battle of Britain’ when the two former world heavyweight champions meet in 2025.

A “fragile” chin

Kovalev says Joshua is “fragile” in the chin department, which is why he thinks Fury can win. Sergey isn’t saying that Fury’s power isn’t on par with the fighters that AJ has had trouble with throughout his career.

Only two of those fighters have defeated Joshua, which shows that he is resilient and finds a way to bounce back when injured during fights. Fury is nowhere near either of those fighters in terms of power, and his method of achieving knockouts involves breaking his opponents down. Joshua is too powerful to be worn down by Fury’s hold and lean tactics.

It is unclear whether Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) will agree to fight Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) after suffering his second loss to unified heavyweight champion Alexander Usyk last Saturday night in Riyadh .

After the fight, Fury, 36, sounded like a bitter politician, angry at the referees and in complete and utter denial of what happened. His love of money will probably bring him back.

There’s too much green stuff for Gispie King not to bounce back for two lucrative fights against a fading Joshua, who was blown out of the water by Daniel Dubois on September 21. If Fury wasn’t in the money, he’d probably retire and never be seen again, but he won’t be able to resist returning to 100 million dollars salary against AJ. Both fighters are expected to earn over $100 million for their ‘Battle of Britain’ clash.
