Several Republicans in the house push a measure that would demand that federal political candidates discover their citizenship in foreign nations when determining their main campaign committee.
Ambassador Thomas Massie, R-Ky, told Fox News Digital in a statement on Monday that he does not believe that individuals with citizenship in foreign countries should serve in the legislation of the state.
“Personally, I don’t think dual citizens should serve in Congress, but in the end I decided to introduce a proposal for a transparency law that requires complete detection of citizenship. Voters can then make a decision,” he noticed.

“At the very least, they should discover their citizenship in other countries and refrain from votes that benefit particularly from these countries,” he added.

“If we continue to allow members of the congress to acquire and retain citizenship in other countries, at least they should be revealed to voters from all countries that they consider themselves to be citizens,” Massie said.
