Richard Chamberlain, the star of film, theater and television, died on March 29 Sweethershehet, Sweethele, ColorsesFox News Digital confirmed. He was 90 years old.
Chamberlain died of Complications after a stroke Two days before his 91th birthday, his representative confirmed.
Born George Richard Chamberlain, a beloved actor, was known as “King of the Miniseries” and starred in “Shogun”, “The Thorn Birds”, “Wallenberg” and the original “The Bourne identity” scenario of 1988.
“Our beloved Richard is now with angels,” said his longtime partner Martin Rabbet in a statement provided by Fox News Digital.

After graduating from a college with a degree in art, he enrolled in US Army where he served 16 months in Korea and climbed to the act of sergeant.
Upon returning to Los Angeles, Chamberlain followed Angels, the theater group in Los Angeles. His first television appearance was for a guest place in Alfred Hitchcock Premonts in 1959.

He then began appearing in the popular American television series, including “Gunsmoke”, “Mr. Lucky” and “Riverboat” before landing on the role of “Dr. Kildare”, which earned his first Golden Globe Award in 1963.
With the rise of his acting career, he became a successful singer and achieved a top 10 hit with a vocal version of the thematic song for Kildare, “Three stars will shine tonight.”
Chamberlain had previously told Fox News Digital that the success of “Dr. Kildare” was fast. The show chronicled the adventures of a young medical trainee and his mentor of the surgeon.
“It happened somehow quickly,” he said. “We started getting a fan mail with a huge rate. Something like 12,000 letters a week, which [the network] I’ve never experienced before. Even Clark Gable didn’t get that much cheerleading mail. And the studio, of course, answered everything. I didn’t have time or energy. But it made me realize that something was happening that could be overwhelming. “

Chamberlain had previously told Fox News Digital to be a “disaster” and “awful” for his career as a romantic leading man that the public knew the truth about his sexuality.
The screen icon did not come out as a gay man until he was almost 70 years old.
