4 current, former Texas deputies from same sheriff’s office die by suicide just weeks apart

Four currents and former MPs from the same Sheriff’s Texas Office They died with obvious suicide for six weeks, according to officials.

Harris County Sheriff MPs were found dead between February 6th and March 19th.

In the first incident, the retired deputy Long Nguyen died with an apparent suicide on February 6, ABC 13 reported, citing officials.

Deputy Christina Kohler, who disappeared for more than a week, was found dead with suicide on March 13th.

Three days later, the body of former Deputy Maria Vasquez was discovered. The Houston medical examiner ruled that Vasquez, who withdrew from the Agency in December, died with obvious suicide.

March 19, retired Deputy William Bozeman also died of obvious suicide after 24 years on Sheriff of the Harris County Office.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez mourned the suicide of his deputies.

“We learned today about the pensioner of Sheriff Harris Sheriff, who died of apparent suicide. That makes us three in a week of a week,” Gonzalez wrote on Facebook.

“Our hearts are difficult. We express our deepest condolences to their families, colleagues and friends. It is a painful reminder that life is fragile and time is not promised,” he continued.

The president of the Harris County MP, Jose Lopez, said the death of the deputy “surprised a lot of us”.

“One is too much. Two? Three? Yes, it’s definitely devastating,” Lopez said.

“It hits very close to the house, and it is a reminder of us how fragile life is, and it is also a reminder that we have to look out for each other. We have to take care of each other,” Lopez added.

Sheriff’s office launched mental health Initiatives to resolve a recent trend. Lopez said he also helped his fellow MPs address sadness.
