TCU Horned frog Women’s basketball star Hailey Van Lith has opened up about her fight with her mental health as she dealt with a star on social networks at a young age.
Van Lith was further in the spotlight only throughout her collegial and Olympic basketball career. She starred in Louisville before switching to LSU and later in TCU, where she helped the team in Big 12 Championship This season.

After reaching out to Cardinal’s defeat, she spoke openly about her mental health.
“The way I exposed myself to the media and social media at such a young age, I really struggled with mental health things,” she said, by the way Sports illustrated. “When I was younger and in college, I was suicide, I was a lot of medication and I felt trapped.
“You would never know because I had a ton of success on the field, but from the inside, and in life in general, I was ready for it. I mean that when I talk about suffering and pain. It’s like I didn’t even want to live.

Van Lith had 16 points and 10 rebounds in the 85-70 victory. TCU is in Sweet 16 for the first time in the history of the program.

She went to Final Four and two elite eight games with Louisville from 2021 to 23. Last season reached the elite eight with LSU.
