NHRA star Ron Capps walks away from horrifying crash

The National Hot Caves Association (Nhra) funny car driver Ron Capps was included in a terrifying collision during Arizona Nationals on Sunday.

The Capps vehicle quickly turned from the starting line and the blink of an eye exploded the top of his car. He walked across the whole line and in the left guard wall. Capps managed to get out of his vehicle under his own power.

Nhra said he was examined by a medical team on the spot before being released.

“It was an unhappy first round, and we’re grateful that @Roncapps28 managed to go out and leave,” ” Ron Capps Motorsports He wrote on X. “Safari with certainty @nhra was there, and security equipment and chassis did its job. Thanks to our terrible sponsors like @Thenapanetwork and Toyota, we will be in the help!”

Capps has 75 wins in a funny car and made the 151 last round. He had three wins and was the winner four times during the 2023 season. In 2024 he reached the last round in four events, but failed to secure a victory.

So far, this season he has reached the last round in Gainesville, Florida, at the Amalie Motor Oil Nhra Gatornatations.

Capps finished third last year on Funny Car. Was behind the champion of Austin Proka and John’s powerwho suffered his own scary fall in June.
