Her son John Dukakis said that the wife and mother of three died on Friday night “surrounded by family”.
“She was born on December 26, 1936 and lived her full life struggling to make the world a better place and share her vulnerability to help others face theirs,” he said in a statement. “She loved, had fun and had fun and had a strong sensitivity to people from all layers of life. Washington Post and New York Times reported that John Dukakis said that the cause of the death of his mother was a complication from dementia and died in her home in Brookline, Massachusetts.
