A Florida man was arrested for the 35th time just before Christmas, after car theft and attempts to escape from the authorities.
Kevin Campana, 31, was taken into custody Monday after allegedly breaking into the local auto repair shop in Edgewater, Florida and stealing a customer’s car without shoes, according to the Edgewater Police Department.
Campana tried to run away from the police, but a high-speed chase, captured by a body camera, ended in a head-on collision with a police car.

He was charged with burglary, aggravated theft, driving with a suspended license, and willfully fleeing or attempting to evade law enforcement, according to police records.
Campana had he was previously arrested 34 timesaccording to Volusia County inmate records.
Just days earlier, Campana was on the loose after being arrested on Dec. 18 on an attempted burglary charge, records show.

He was arrested for the first time on September 18, 2011, for burglary, when he was only 18 years old.
The 31-year-old career criminal has been detained for a series of crimes almost every year since his first arrest.
His various charges over the years included burglary, forgery, grand theft and possession of a substance.

His longest time behind bars was over 9 months, from December 31, 2019 to October 7, 2020, for a felony probation violation.
Campana remains in custody in Volusia County.
