FBI Los Angeles told passengers In order to check the tips on the State Department’s travels – designed to provide us with reliable information about safety threats abroad – for their predicted destinations before time.
“Whether these are families who want to escape from the final winters of winter or a student seeking a short break from the rigor of an academic life, know that the risks are there,” said FBI Director -General Akil Davis in a statement on Tuesday. “Maintain alertness during your travels and be prepared to contact the nearest American embassy or consulate if the need is shown.”
The warning comes after the University of Pittsburgh’s student’s disappearance on March 6, Sudiksha Konanki in Punta Cani, Dominican Republic.

On the Caribbean, The country with the highest travel counseling is to Haiti with a consulting level of level 4, which means “not traveling”, followed by Jamaica at Level 3, which means that US nationals should “reconsider travel”.

Different other Caribbean countries are under warning level 2, which means that Americans should make increased precautions. These countries include the Dominican Republic, Turks & Caicos, Bahama, Cuba and the Netherlands Antila.
Several Mexican countries also have level 4 warnings because of dangerous cartel and gang activities, including Sinol, Tamaulipas, ZacateCas, Michoacan, Colima and Guerrero.
