Organizers San Francisco Pride (SF Pride) shared financial problems because of major companies that have withdrawn funds this year.
SF Pride Executive Director Suzanne Ford said the show will continue to last, but the organizers will have to do with a smaller budget. Ford expressed doubt that this is part of a wave of companies that are distant from Diversity, equality and inclusion (Dei) programs under Trump’s administration.
“I am very worried. Obviously there is a pressure from the Federal Government,” Ford said a Local fox branch.
“The tone has changed in this country. The companies have already protected their bets, and I think that people who, these are not their hard fundamental value of their corporation, may be re -examined by their investment,” Ford said.

SF Pride is a non -profit organization that runs an annual parade and festival in San Francisco for two days. Scheduled by June 28 to June 29, this year’s theme is “Queer joy is resistance”. The event is one of the largest LGBTQ+ celebrations in the world, with more than one million students pull out each year, according to their place.

Ford said that five corporations withdrawn the sponsorship of SF Pride, resulting in a loss of around $ 300,000, and said Fox News Digital, “the total budget goal is $ 2.3 million, and although we have almost a million dollars already committed, we now have to raise an additional $ 1.3 million for the filled targets and we have joined the Fund’s teaching.”
The companies that allegedly withdrew their funding are Benefit Cosmetics, Comcast, Anheuser-Busch, a Diageo alcoholic beverage company and Wine Company La Crema.
However, La Crema told Fox News Digital, “La Crema remains fully dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community. Although we had to reduce the activation of SF pride this year, it was never our intention to deviate completely. We are ongoing in conversations with the organizers and hopefully we will still find a way to at this year’s event.
