NYPD search for suspect who lit man on fire in Times Square


New York police are hunting for a suspect that lit a man in the middle Times Square Early on Sunday in a terrible attack that repeated the killing of the subway earlier this year.

The 45-year-old victim, who survived, was in the tourist attraction of Midtown Manhattan at about 4am when he was attacked, NYPD officials were attacked Confirmed by WABC. Firefighters worked with the police to extinguish the flames, and a severely burned victim was taken to a local hospital.

The man told the police that a man approached him who had set him on fire after throwing a current substance for the first time, which police believe was probably flammable.

Witnesses told the police that they saw a man in the fire, but they did not see the attack itself. The police are now searching For the suspect, which was last seen in blue clothing. After reviewing the camera shots, the police told Wabc to believe that the attacker may have known the victim.

“Just listening to all these things, especially with what is happening on the train, on the subway, I do not know what happens to people who just want to light people in the fire,” said the city of Steven Ortiz for Wabc. “I don’t understand, just very inhumane. Especially in the middle of Times Square, it’s crazy, it’s no sense.”

“On Sunday morning, it’s a nice time to be out in town, and so I’m a little shocked,” Kathy Holland said News 4.

“I feel sad because of humanity. I don’t understand why someone would do it. I feel like a lot of things are wrong right now,” Tammy Brawn also shared with News 4.

This latest incident involving the victims of the fire was followed by a few months after the illegal immigrant was charged with killing a woman by burning her on the train train in New York.
