Pre-game co-host Kay Adams’ microphone appeared to be off for a few seconds early in the show. At a later point, ESPN personality Mina Kimes interrupted with a seemingly unplanned commercial for the upcoming second season premiere of Netflix’s hit series “Squid Games.”
The cameras eventually returned to the pregame show after the commercials.

Pregame coverage began hours before the Chiefs and Steelers kickoff at 1:00 PM ET.

“Last year, we decided to make a big bet on live — tapping into mass fandoms in comedy, reality TV, sports and more,” Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria said in a May news release shortly after the Christmas package. of games has been announced.

Netflix paid an estimated $150 million for the rights to the games, according to Bloomberg. The streamer and the NFL have maintained an ongoing relationship for the past few years.
The documentary series “Quarterback” was released on Netflix in 2023, and “Receiver” premiered on the streaming platform last month. While the former focused on three different players at different points in their careers, the pass-catch streak follows four wideouts and one tight end.
Consistent with previous agreements, the deal with Netflix allows games to be televised in the home markets of competing teams. The league-owned NFL+ streaming service will provide fans with access USA watch matches via your mobile devices.
