US President Donald Trump says he will impose an additional 25 percent tariff on steel and aluminum import from Canada, extending his war with one of the largest business partners in the United States.
Trump wrote on his true social platform on Tuesday, “I have instructed my Commerce Secretary to add another 25% tariff, 50%, all steel from Canada to the United States, aluminum, one of the highest customs countries in the world,”.
He added that the tariff will be effective on Wednesday.
Trump also said that if Canada did not drop his “long time” tariff, he would “increase enough” in cars in the US, he said that he said that the country’s carmaking industry would “stop” at a permanent, permanently, permanently.
