Oil tanker and container vessel crash in North Sea

An oil tanker and a container ship collided in the North Sea, there were reports of fire on both ships on the board.

Meritime and Coast Guard Agency in the UK rescued helicopters, lifeboats and firefighters at the scene, and say it is evaluating “probably” need counter pollution. ”

The Royal National Lifeboat Institute has said that a number of people have been reported to have left the ships after the clash.

According to Marine Traffic, Steena Imamaculate was carrying a type of fuel for 15,900 tonnes from a refinery in Greece. The cargo motor oil (Helus) has been listed from Corinth and was prescribed for UK buyers, including BP, legal and dupt.

The Marine traffic showed that Salong left the Hamba port of Hamba in Emingham and was on its way to Rotterdam.

The RNLI said one of the four lifeboats sent to the scene stood at 1.30 am, the other three “search and rescue efforts continued.”
