Dozens of people have died after a passenger plane carrying about 70 people crashed in Kazakhstan, officials said.
Officials in Azerbaijan, where the plane originated, say at least 30 people survived.
Azerbaijan Airlines flight J2-8243 caught fire while attempting to make an emergency landing near the Kazakh city of Aktau.
The plane was on its way to Grozny in Russia but it was diverted due to fog, the airline told the BBC.
Footage shows the plane going down at high speed and its landing gear on the ground, before it burst into flames as it landed.
The airline said the plane “made an emergency landing” about 3km (1.9 miles) from Aktau.
It took off from the Azerbaijani capital Baku at 03:55 GMT on Wednesday, and crashed at around 06:28, according to flight tracking website Flightradar24.
Reports from Russia say the plane collided with a flock of birds before it took off, but this has yet to be confirmed.
Officials from the affected countries have reported varying numbers of passengers and survivors.
The airline said 62 passengers and 5 crew members were on board the Embraer 190 but other reports put the number at 72. The number of survivors is 28 to 32.
Most of the people on board were from Azerbaijan, but there were also people from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Unconfirmed footage showed survivors emerging from the wreckage, some with visible injuries.
Both Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have launched an investigation into the accident. Embraer told the BBC it was “ready to support all those who are eligible”.
The BBC has contacted Azerbaijan Airlines for comment.
Embraer, the Brazilian manufacturer, is a smaller rival to Boeing and Airbus, and has a strong safety record.
