Actor Mark Wahlberg brings faith in modern times, sharing that the Catholic Prayer application Hallow deepened its spiritual path, on time for the season Sheet.
“I would say that I am nothing but a modest servant to God,” Wahlberg told Fox News Higher Correspondent Benjamin Hall. “I have been put into this position for some reason.”
Wahlberg is a key figure on Hallow, a Catholic prayer and a meditation app that helps users incorporate faith in their daily routines. This Lent, “Hallow” triggers its bezing Moy40 Challenge, in which special guests who run daily prayer and meditation sessions performed.
For Wahlberg, a vessel is deeply meaningful, a season of thinking and renewing that brings him closer to God.
“The reminder is that I have to do more and I have to be better,” he said. “There are things that are in my life that interfere with and take me away from focus on building my relationship and approaching God. Of course, I live that dedicated life that he chose for me.”
The vessel starts today, Ash Wednesday, and runs until Easter Sunday in April. As part of Hallow Challenge, Wahlberg will be joined by colleague actor Chris Pratt and other guests at special sessions focused on post, one of the central pillars of Lent.
Wahlberg believes that the vessel is not only a personal sacrifice, but also to recognize human imperfections and the effort to be better.
“I think we all have to repent,” Hall said.

“I had a very problematic childhood. So far, you just know, to be impatient to people, to be short with people, not as understanding, as thoughtful. You have caught yourself in all these things in your life. There is only one person who was the perfect who walked this country, and that should be Jesus. And everyone should be a little more careful.”
Last year during Lent, Hallow made history by becoming #1 app in Apple App StoreFor the first time, the religious application ever reached the first place. Wahlberg hopes that his success continues, helping young people to build a stronger connection with their faith and avoid the mistakes he made at a young age.

“Encouraging young people to help them avoid making the same mistake I have made and what other people do … With God in your life every day, it allows you to be in a position where you can bring the right choice,” Wahlberg said.
“I did, I don’t know 50, 60 films. People always approach me and say something. But most of the time now … People usually talk about Hallow and how much they changed their lives. Or reconnecting them again after being missed or, you know, finding a way to meet and get to know God and faith for the first time in their lives.”
Since Hallow’s borrowed challenge for prayer40 is in progress, Wahlberg and other faithful leaders invite people around the world to join the prayer, thinking and renewal of this Lent season.
