On Sunday, the speaker of the house Mike Johnson invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for the interruption and overcome of President Donald Trump and Vice -President JD Vance during their meeting at the White Houseand said he was surprised by his behavior.
“The Person Who Walked Away from the Table Yesterday was president Zelenskyy. And Mean, look, i’ve been involved in a lot of bilateral meetings like with heads of state and digniters. There’s a cortain protocol to those events. But Shocking to Everyone, and Mean, President Zelenskyy, Intead of Showing Gratitude, He Interrupted and Berated His Hosts at A Very Perilous Time for His Country.
CNN’s day Bash asked Johnson to respond to the reaction of Republican Senator Alaska Lisa Murkowski to Trump-Zelenskyy’s conflict. Murkowski accused Trump of “leaving our allies and accepting Putin,” In the post on x.
“An agreement on the rights of minerals would be a victory for both countries. There we would give us economic interest, and all around the world knows that America will always defend our interests and our people. We would create an economic partnership with Ukraine at a time when it needs to be again. And that would be a big deal,” Johnson continued.

“And I don’t understand why President Zelenskyy would not gratefully accept it. And I think it’s a big mistake. And I hope it will change my mind because we have to stop this conflict,” the speaker continued.
Johnson spoke on Sunday with NBC News’ Kristen Welker during “Meet The Press”, during which Johnson was pressed if they were leaving the US.
“I was with the president the day before that meeting, and he was excited about this mineral right agreement. He believed, and we all believed that he was in the best interests of both countries. He was not the president and vice -president who beat Zelenskyy. I saw it vice versa.

“It is quite absurd that everyone in the media or democrats somehow states that the President Trump, the White House or Republicans are in Congress on Putin’s side,” Johnson told Welker.
Johnson was pressed to what he thought of Russian Vladimir Putin during an interview with CNN.
“I think Vladimir Putin is a communist from an old school, a former KGB agent. And he doesn’t need to believe him, and he’s dangerous. The way I think China, Russia, Iran and North Korea are engaged in a new ax of the ax, and they are not on the US side,” he replied.

Trump accused Zelenskyy The “disrespect” of the US during their meeting on Friday and said that the Ukrainian leader is not ready to secure peace for his country.
“I have found that President Zelenskyy is not ready for peace if America is involved, because he believes our involvement gives a great advantage in negotiations,” Trump said in the social place of truth on Friday. “I don’t want an advantage, I want peace. The United States was directly in her oval office. He can come back when he is ready for peace.”
