Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy directly answered whether the president believed Donald Trump supported Ukraine as he visited the White House on Friday.
Zelenskyy visits Washington due to negotiations to end the war in Ukraine, and is expected to sign a mineral agreement on Friday, which will now allow access to the minerals of Ukraine – in exchange for support he has now secured from the invasion of Russian Russian 2022.
Asked if Zelenskyy believed that Trump was on the side of Ukraine, Zelenskyy told reporters in an oval office to believe that the United States were on the Ukraine side and repeated the importance of stopping the aggression from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Zelenskyy also emphasized the importance of helping Europe during the conflict with Russia – which is why Trump has come in and claimed that US contributions were more significant than Europe. But Zelenskyy pushed himself and said that was not true.

The exact numbers of financial assistance to Ukraine differ slightly, depending on what is considered to be helpful. However, the Congress has applied $ 175 billion since 2022 to help Ukraine, according to the Foreign Relations Council.
Meanwhile, all European assistance to Ukraine between January 2022 and December 2024 is approximately $ 138.7 billion, the German research center Kiel is estimated, and the US has contributed $ 119.7 billion on the same time frame.
The tensions between Zelenskyy and Trump have grown in recent weeks because the US has collaborated with Ukraine and Russia to improve peace negotiations. After meeting US officials with Russian officials in Saudi Arabia on February 18 without Ukraine, Zelenskyy told reporters that “no one decides anything behind our backs.”
Trump and Zelenskyy then Barbie trademarks toward each otherGiven that Zelenskyy accused Trump of making the Russian “misinformation” and Trump, marking Zelensky’s “dictator” that betrayed his country.

On Thursday, Trump, however, doubled himself on that statement.
Asked if he stood by his statement, he told reporters, “Did I say that? I can’t believe I said that. The next question.”
Trump also told reporters as he met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday that peace negotiations were in the final stages, but he cautiously shared the details regarding the peace power in the region until the agreement was completed.

“I think we progressed very well in the agreement,” Trump said. “But we haven’t made an agreement yet. So, I don’t like to talk about peacekeeping until we agree. I like things to finish.”
Trump also said he did not expect Putin to break any agreement to create peace with Ukraine.
“I don’t believe he will break his word,” Trump said on Thursday. “I don’t think he’ll come back when he concludes. I think the contract will be held now.”
