Canadian soccer coach rips President Trump for ’51st State’ remarks


Canadian football coach Jesse Marsch blown President Donald Trump because of his “51 state” remarks, calling them “offensive.”

Marsch, originally from Wisconsin who played for Team USA in the early 2000s, was appointed Tim Canada Male football coach 2024.

During Wednesday, the Day of Media Day of the Nation of the Nation of the Concacaf, Marsch did not retain his opinion on Trump’s comments, saying that the “shame” that the president had sent to Canada.

“As an American, I would like to deal with the discourse ’51 states, which I think is disturbing and, honestly, offensive,” Marsch told reporters. “Canada is a strong, independent nation that is deeply rooted in decency. It is a place that appreciates high ethics and respect unlike polarized, dishonest and now often hate with filled climate in the US that is in the US

“Canada appreciates a lot of honesty and unity. It is a place I learned as a national team coach, where people really believe that their differences make them stronger, and, honestly, this is one of the things I enjoyed most in our team.

“They show it as human beings and as a team. Almost all Canadians are the first and second generations, who come from different heritage and culture. But they are uniquely incredibly proud of being Canadians, to represent their country, give everyone each other and love and play for their country.”

Marsch ended his statement with a message for Trump.

“If I have one message to our president, he is released by a funny rhetoric that Canada is 51. The state,” Marsch said. “As an American, I am ashamed of arrogance and neglect, we have shown one of our historically oldest, strongest and most loyal allies. But one thing is for sure, when I look forward to a month from today, it will encourage our team. The mentality we have, the will we have to play for our country.

Canada will play Mexico on March 20th in the semi -finals of the CONCACAF league, while Team USA will take over Panama on the same day.
